Trek Policy

Eligibility

• Minimum age varies by trek (see Quick facts on each trek page). Minors must travel with a parent or guardian.
• A medical certificate signed by a registered doctor is mandatory for treks above 12,000 ft.

On the trek

• The trek leader's decision on safety is final — including turning back.
• No alcohol or smoking on the trail.
• Follow Leave No Trace. Carry back all plastic.

Before the trek

• Complete the fitness requirement for your trek's difficulty level.
• Carry a government ID; foreign nationals need a passport and permits.
